Akan datang: MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN (edaran 20th Century Fox)

Saya tak exaggerate bila menyebut MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN sebagai filem yang ingin ditonton bagi tahun 2016. Melebihi filem blockbuster musim panas yang lain. Tanpa meyedari ada nama Tim Burton (well,... dia Tim Burton. OK, tulislah juga kredit filemnya: Ed Wood, Superman Lives, pernah berlakon dalam filem grunge Singles tapi tanpa dialog) dan Jane Goldman (kredit filem: Kingsman, Stardust, Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class, The Woman in Black).

Dipadankan dari novel kategori Young Adult tulisan Ransom Riggs yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2011, poster terbaru dan treler filem ini akhirnya didedahkan dan bakal menemui penonton di Malaysia pada 29 September ini edaran 20th Century Fox.

Berikut ialah petikan teks dari Tim Burton dan Ransom Riggs berkenaan filem ini:

TIM BURTON: "When I was first approached to direct Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, I was given a summary of the novel with all of the photos in the book. I was immediately intrigued by the haunting and mysterious pictures in Ransom Rigg's novel and knew I wanted to tell the story of those kids. A girl, lighter than air, a boy with bees living in his stomach, a woman who turned into a bird—it was a world I wanted to explore. So I made a film about them."

RANSOM RIGGS: "For something I wrote to have inspired Tim Burton to create a doodle on a cocktail napkin would have been an honor. But to stand ringside and watch him pour his whole heart into this film -- that has been one of the great thrills of my life. I couldn't be more excited if you attached electrodes to my toes."

Filem fantasi ini mengisahkan tentang kehidupan mengenai seorang remaja yang mendapati dirinya kini terdampar di sebuah pulau di mana dia perlu melindungi sekumpulan anak-anak yatim piatu yang mempunyai kuasa luar biasa dari dimusnahkan oleh satu kuasa jahat.
